On the Coordination of Al in β-LiAlO2By using 27Al-NMR and the determination of the contribution of Al2O3 to the molar refractivities, the octahedral coordination of Al in α-LiAlO2 respectively the tetrahedral coordination in γ-LiAlO2 has been confirmed. For β-LiAlO2 the results show that there only tetrahedrally coordinated Al occurs, contrary to earlier statements given in literature.

Durch 27Al-NMR-Untersuchungen und mittels der Bestimmung des Anteils des Al2O3 an der Molrefraktion wird die oktaedrische Koordination des Al im α-LiAlO2 bzw. die tetraedrische im γ-LiAlO2 bestätigt und gezeigt, daß - entgegen früheren Angaben - im β-LiAlO2 lediglich tetraedrisch koordiniertes Al auftritt.
