In addition, the distribution characteristics of thermal environment and urban morphology units sample are also evaluated intensively. Furthermore, it analyses from three aspects of urban planning, architecture and landscape respectively and includes 35 concrete measures that could be brought into practice on reducing negative impact of urban thermal environment. Through 500 vivid figures, graphs and diagrams it illustrates the relationship between urban morphology and urban thermal environment. The analysis software employed by the author includes Ecotect, ENVI-met and Ray-man. It intertwines the quantitative research of both thermal environment and urban morphology through in-depth analysis and urban microclimate simulation. It makes a valuable contribution for the research on urban environment and urban morphology.

Description / Table of Contents: Introduction -- Simulation Method and Evaluation strategy of Wind Environment -- Spatial Distribution Characteristic and evaluation of Wind Environment in Xinjiekou Area -- Coupling Analysis Between Spatial Morphology Indicator and Wind Environment -- Coupling Analysis Between Spatial Morphology Units and Wind Environment in Xinjiekou Area -- Optimization Strategy of Wind Environment -- Optimization Design Practice Project of Wind Environment. .
Abstract: This book focuses on the urban wind environment of urban center district. Through urban spatial morphology and urban space units it provides in-depth evaluation and research on the correlation between urban spatial morphology indicator and urban wind environment. Based on urban spatial morphology indicators, such as building density, FAR, average building height and wind environment parameter, it conducts quantitative analysis and statistic evaluation to acquire the influence relationship between urban planning indicators and wind speed. In addition, based on the 13 typical urban morphology units it also analyses the different situation of wind environment. Finally it provides the optimized strategies on urban planning, architecture and landscape. It intertwines the quantitative research between wind environment and urban morphology through in-depth analysis and urban microclimate simulation. It makes a valuable contribution for the research on urban environment and urban morphology.

Description: We studied the influence of different mask apertures on the open-circuit voltage measurement of perovskite solar cells. Aperture masks with different sizes were equipped to control the proportion of dark-state region. Statistical results of photovoltaic parameters, ideality factor, and reverse saturation current density revealed that different mask apertures would affect the J-V measurement results, especially the open-circuit voltage. A double diode model simulation together with the impedance spectroscopy and transient photovoltage decay measurement has been further employed to analyze the reasons and found that the mask with inappropriate shading, which is smaller than the cells active area, will introduce excess charge transfer and recombination pathways, thus lead to an underestimate of open-circuit voltage. This work provides a promising route towards a more accurate J-V measurement of perovskite solar cells.

Description: In spark plasma sintering (SPS), thermal and electric fields are applied simultaneously as a material is densified under pressure. The interactions between these two types of physical fields influence the densification behavior during SPS. Moreover, the uniformity and spatial distribution of these fields are also influenced by sample size. In the current investigation, the densification behavior of electrically conductive aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO) ceramics is studied to provide insight into the role played by the thermal and electric fields on densification mechanisms, as a function of sample size. Our results demonstrate that field uniformity and densification behavior depend on sample size, and that ultimately, this behavior can be rationalized in terms of the electrical conductivity characteristics. Our results show that in small samples with a diameter of 20 mm, both thermal and electric fields are spatially uniform, which result in homogeneous microstructure. In large samples with a diameter of 80 mm, however, spatial variations in both thermal and electric fields lead to microstructural inhomogeneities, such as incomplete particle–particle bonding. Furthermore, as the density of the AZO sample increases, the effective electrical conductivity increases due to a decrease in void/pore volume, which changes the densification mechanisms, especially for the larger sample. Thus, for effective sintering of larger samples, a two-stage sintering sequence is proposed, which relies on the thermal field that evolves once the effective electrical conductivity increases in the sample. We provide experimental confirmation to this suggestion on the basis of results which demonstrate that by extending the hold time from 3 to 30 min, high-density (99.4%), homogeneous AZO ceramic samples with a diameter of 80 mm can be achieved after sintering at 1200°C.

Description: With the increasingly dense distribution of urban subway network, line crossing will inevitably occur. The phenomenon of new tunnels passing through existing tunnels is becoming more and more common. Shield tunneling will inevitably disturb the surrounding soil and redistribute the stress and displacement fields, resulting in the deformation and additional stress of existing subway tunnels. The new tunnel should have strict requirements for the deformation control of existing tunnels and surrounding rocks. The spacing effect of new tunnels under existing tunnels can ensure the safety of new tunnels and the operation safety of existing shield tunnels, which has become an important problem to be solved urgently. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper takes a new shield tunnel under the existing tunnel in Xuzhou City as the backing, carries out numerical simulation of the new and old tunnel under different clearance by finite element software, and studies the influence of...

Description: The format of different industries within a city is an essential part of a megacity’s development and reflects its central districts’ economic characteristics and development trends. This study takes two central districts in the megacity of Shanghai as its research object and explores the inter-spatial relationships among business format, as well as the mutual spatial relationships within the format network, using the quantitative and qualitative methods of case selection and spatial connectivity. Based on the degree of connectivity, the inter-related formats form a format model association network. Two related characteristics of a format type-related network are hierarchy and stability, and two levels are determined according to the importance of each format in the network: core dominant and non-core dominant. By exploring these relationships, the internal spatial correlation structure of format in the city center, and the hierarchy and systematization of each format, is explained. The results simultaneously contribute to the spatial planning of the central district and provide a valuable policy basis for urban planning managers.
