Evaluation of Computer-Controlled Hot Plane Strain Compression Tests for Investigation of Material BehaviourDuring the test the data of specimen temperature, deformation load and ram displacement are collected and stored. The flow curves evaluated predict actual mill loads and can be used to measure softening processes. The differentiation of the cooling curve of the deformed specimen provides information about transformation kinetics. A rather large specimen enables a comprehensive material testing of the simulated processing with the aim of the optimization of thermomechanical treatment.

Während des Versuchsablaufs werden kontinuierlich die Probentemperatur, die Stauchkraft und der Werkzeugweg digital erfaßt und weiter ausgewertet. Die Ermittlung von Fließkurven ermöglicht Aussagen über die Umformkräfte und das Entfestigungsverhalten des Werkstoffs. Die differenzierten Abkühlkurven der gestauchten Probe liefern Informationen über den Umwandlungsablauf im Gefüge. Die Größe der Flachstauchprobe erlaubt eine umfassende Werkstoffprüfung nach der Simulation und damit eine Optimierung thermomechanischer Behandlungsverfahren.
