Introduction: Cystoscopy is one of the common procedure in diagnosis and treatment of problem related to urinary tract, pre-cystoscopy anxiety is a very common problem, despite evidences shows suitable intervention for post-cystoscopy pain but enough pain relief still remains as a problem, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between pre-cystoscopy anxiety and post-cystoscopy pain among patients who was hospitalized for cystoscopy. Methods: This was a cross sectional study and sampling of this study was done in April 2017 to April 2018 in surgical unit of amiralmoemenin hospital in zanjan, Iran, using non-probability convenience Sampling method, 61 patients aged 16-45 years old who was hospitalized for cystoscopy was recruited in this study. Pre-cystoscopy anxiety was assessed by spilberger (STAI) questionnaire and post-cystoscopy pain measured by pain visual analogs scale (VAS).
