Article Spin–orbital quantum liquids are exotic quantum phases in frustrated magnets that arise if frustrated spin and orbital degrees of freedom are coupled. Here, the authors find a dynamical spin–orbital state in the frustrated magnet Ba 3 CuSb 2 O 9 , which indicates the formation of a spin–orbital quantum liquid.
