Notes:
Two deep peal deposits, one in a high-rainfall area, were surface seeded with a number of grass varieties. Their sward development and general agronomy are described. Differences in performance are associated with moisture supply and severity of winter conditions. Tall fescue, red fescue and timothy gave good results at both centres.
