Notes: Abstract Lines of theQ-branch of vibrational rotational spectra are distinguished fromP(R)-lines by light induced anisotropy in absorbing gases. We report, for the first time, on experiments using a linearly polarized saturation beam. A CO2-laser was employed to investigate the molecule SF6.
