Zusammenfassung Die mathematischen Ansätze zur Matrixkorrektur enthalten Koeffizienten, die man entweder aus den bekannten Massengehalten der Standards und ihren gemessenen Röntgen-Intensitäten empirisch ermitteln oder aber mit Hilfe tabellierter physikalischer Parameter theoretisch berechnen kann. Die theoretische Berechnung führt auf systematische Fehler, deren Mittelwert bei mineralischen Proben für die wichtigsten Elemente etwa 1,5% des Massengehaltes beträgt. Er bewegt sich in der gleichen Größenordnung wie die zufälligen Fehler mit einer mittleren Standardabweichung von etwa 1,2%.

Summary The mathematical equations of matrix correction contain coefficients which can either be found out with the aid of the known mass fractions of the standards and their measured X-ray-intensities or can be calculated theoretically by using published physical parameters. The calculation leads to systematic errors with a mean value of about 1.5% for the most important elements in mineralogical samples. The mean value of the random errors characterized by the average standard deviation of about 1.2% is in the same order of magnitude.
