Notes: Abstract A gas chromatographic separation method with glass capillary columns for extracts from biological samples containing PCB is described. The impregnation and installation is treated extensively. Thus even minor components and metabolised compounds can be separated and detected. The determination of the pesticides of the chlorinated hydrocarbon type mostly present, too, is possible without fractionation by TLC or column chromatography before GC. By application of splitless injection errors and losses are avoided, caused by the usual splitting at the injector. The described method is of especial advantage for the residue analysis of chlorinated hydrocarbons.
