Summary From the different evaluation of the quantity of species it will be outlined that the quantity of a sociological group is significant for the classification and division of the vegetation. For the ecological estimation of a plant association the quantity of a group is also important.

Zusammenfassung Man kann so zusammenfassend feststellen, daß die sinnvolle Einbeziehung der Dominanz, die sich in erhöhten Mengen der einzelnen Arten, insbesondere aber der soziologischen Artengruppen äußert, neben Berücksichtigung der gesamten Artengruppenkombination sowohl für die Gliederung der Vegetation wie auch für die Ansprache der Ökologie, vor allem des Standorts, sich als ein wesentlicher Fortschritt in der Vegetationskunde erweist.
