Abstract Let F(x1,..., xm) (m≥1) be a polynomial with integral p-adic coefficients, and let Nα, be the number of solutions of the congruence F(x1,..., Xm)=0 mod A proof is given that the Poincaré series Φ(t) = ∑ α0 ∞ N α t α is rational for a class of isometrically-equivalent polynomials of m variables (m≥2) containing a form of degree n≥2 of two variables.
