A method for measuring Raman spectra of the reaction mixture during suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride is described. The curve of monomer content versus reaction time is calculated by determination of the monomer to polymer ratio from the intensity ratio of significant Raman lines.

Eine Methode zur Messung der Ramanspektren des Reaktionsgemisches während der Suspensionspolymerisation von Vinylchlorid wird beschrieben. Durch Bestimmung des Monomer-Polymer-Verhältnisses aus dem Intensitätsverhältnis geeigneter Ramanlinien wird die Umsatzkurve Monomergehalt gegen Reaktionszeit ermittelt.
