Description / Table of Contents: Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Monomeric Out-of-cavity Complex [LaBr3(12-crown-4)(acetone)]Colourless crystals of [LaBr3(12-crown-4)(acetone)] are obtained upon reaction of LaBr3 with 12-crown-4-ether in acetone. The crystal structure (monoclinic, P21/n, Z = 4; a = 968.1(1), b = 1317.9(1), c = 1459.8(2) pm, β = 102.09(1)°, R1 = 0.0445, wR2 = 0.0985) contains neutral out-of-cavity complexes of the composition [LaBr3(12-crown-4)(acetone)]: La3+ is coordinated by the four O-ligator atoms of the 12-crown-4-ether, the three bromide ions and the oxygen atom of one acetone molecule in the fashion of a distorted square antiprism.
    Notes: Bei der Umsetzung von LaBr3 mit 12-Krone-4-Ether in Aceton erhält man farblose Kristalle von [LaBr3(12-Krone-4)(Aceton)]. Die Kristallstruktur (monoklin, P21/n, Z = 4; a = 968,1(1); b = 1317,9(1); c = 1459,8(2) pm; β = 102,09(1)°; R1 = 0,0445; wR2 = 0,0985) ist aus neutralen “out-of-cavity”-Komplexen der Zusammensetzung [LaBr3(12-Krone-4)(Aceton)] aufgebaut: La3+ wird von den vier O-Ligatoratomen des 12-Krone-4-Ethers, den drei Br- -Ionen und dem O-Atom des Aceton-Moleküls in Form eines verzerrten quadratischen Antiprismas koordiniert.
