On the Reactivity of Cyclometallated Complexes of the Type (M = Pd, Pt) towards Electrophilic CompoundsA study has been made on the reactivity of cyclometallated complexes of Pd and Pt with phosphorus as donoratom towards the electrophiles bromine, HgX2 (X = Br, O2CMe), and PdCl2 · 2 Et2S. Whereas the palladium compounds react by M - C-bond cleavage only, in case of the platinum complexes the oxidative addition is preferred.

Es wird über die Reaktivität cyclometallierter Komplexe des Palladiums und Platins mit Phosphor als Donoratom gegenüber den Elektrophilen Brom, HgX2 (X = Br, O2CMe) und PdCl2 · 2 Et2S berichtet. Während die Palladium-Verbindungen ausschließlich unter M - C-Bindungsspaltung reagieren, ist im Falle der Platin-Vertreter die oxidative Addition bevorzugt.
