Contributions to the Chemical Transport of Metal Oxides. VII. On the Growth of Nickel Ferrite Crystals in the System NiFe2O4/HCl/QuartzNickel ferrite crystals with the size of about 1 cm and the weight of about 1 g were grown by pulling transport using natural nucleus formation. They were single phased, monocrystalline and contained disturbations as cracks and holes. The cracks are formed by adhesion strenghth of the crystals on the quartz wall and the holes contained inclusions of NiCl2. The growing process was divided into one phase with raising of the growing surface and one phase with the growing surface being constant.

Im System NiFe2O4/HCl/Quarz wurden nach dem Ziehtransportverfahren mit natürlicher Keimbildung unter kontrollierten Temperaturverhältnissen Kristalle von etwa 1 cm Größe und einem Gewicht von etwa 1 g gezüchtet. Sie waren einkristallin, einphasig und enthielten Störungen in Form von Rissen und Löchern. Die Entstehung der Risse konnte auf die Haftfestigkeit der Kristalle an der Quarzwand zurückgeführt werden. Die Löcher enthielten Einschlüsse von NiCl2. Der Wachstumsvorgang wurde in eine Phase mit Vergrößerung der wachsenden Oberfläche und eine Phase mit konstant wachsender Oberfläche unterteilt.
