A description of the preparation of AsCl5SbCl5AsCl3 is given. The compound crystallizes orthorhombic (space group Cmc21; a = 10.02, b = 16.20, c = 11.67 Å). X-ray analysis proved the structure to consist of tetrahedral AsCl4+ cations, octahedral SbCl6-anions and trigonal bipyramidal molecules of AsCl3.

Die Darstellung des AsCl5SbCl5AsCl3 wird beschrieben. Diese Verbindung kristallisiert in der orthorhombischen Raumgruppe Cmc21 mit den Gitterkonstanten a = 10,02, b = 16,20 und c = 11,67 Å. Die Röntgenstrukturanalyse ergab einen heteropolaren Aufbau; als Baugruppen treten AsCl4+-Tetraeder, SbCl6--Oktaeder und trigonale bipyramidale AsCl3-Molekeln auf.
