    Description / Table of Contents: Ammonium iodide and bismuth acetate react in anhydrous acetic acid as a solvent to the non-solvated compounds NH4(BiJ4), NH4J · NH4(BiJ4) and 2NH4J · NH4(BiJ4) which are different in structure and tint. Their chemical properties correspond to double salts of ammonium iodide and ammonium tetraiodobismutate, or bismuth iodide respectively, the NH4(BiJ4) · NH4(BiJ4) phase being apparently the most stable at elevated temperatures.Precipitation from Bi3+ and NH4+ containing solutions by iodine in presence of acetone provides an unstable solvate of the composition NH4J · NH4(BiJ4) · 1/2 CH3COCH3.
    Notes: Ammoniumjodid und Wismutacetat reagieren in wasserfreier Essigsäure als Lösungsmittel zu den solvatfreien Verbindungen NH4(BiJ4), NH4J · NH4(BiJ4) und 2NH4J · NH4(BiJ4), welche sich in Struktur und Farbtönung unterscheiden. Ihre chemischen Eigenschaften entsprechen Doppelsalzen von Ammoniumjodid mit Ammoniumtetrajodobismutat bzw. Wismutjodid, wobei die NH4J · NH4(BiJ4)-Phase anscheinend bei erhöhter Temperatur die stabilste ist.Die Fällung in Bi3+ und NH4+ enthaltenden Lösungen mit Jod in Anwesenheit von Aceton liefert ein instabiles Solvat der Zusammensetzung NH4J · NH4(BiJ4) · 1/2 CH3COCH3.
