Description / Table of Contents:
NiII complexes of the type Ni(N∩N)Cl2, with (N∩N) = MAÄP, ÄAÄP, DMAÄP being N-substituted amino-ethyl-pyridine (AÄP) derivatives (see text), yield in acetonic solution 1,2-complexes, Ni(N∩N)2Cl2, by adding one further amine ligand. Ni(DÄAÄP)Cl2, however, does not react in this manner, due to steric hindrance. No 1.3-complexes, Ni(N∩N)3Cl2, have been observed. Some new complexes of the types Ni(N∩N)X2 and Ni(N∩N)2X2 (X = Cl, Br, I) have been prepared.
Notes:
