    Description / Table of Contents: CuCr2O4 and Cu2Cr2O4, being components of the Adkins catalyst, have been magnetically investigated from -190 to +20°C by means of ESR and susceptibility measurements. Both compounds are paramagnetic at room temperature. The spinel, CuCr2O4, shows ferromagnetic behaviour below 135°K, Cu2Cr2O4 has an increasing antiferromagnetic character at decreasing temperatures.
    Notes: Von den Bestandteilen des Adkins-Katalysators wurden CuCr2O4 und Cu2Cr2O4 magnetisch mit Hilfe von ESR- und Suszeptibilitätsmessungen im Temperaturbereich von -190 bis +20°C untersucht. Beide Verbindungen sind bei Zimmertemperatur paramagnetisch. Der Spinell (CuCr2O4) zeigt unterhalb 135°K ferromagnetisches Verhalten, während Cu2Cr2O4 mit abnehmender Temperatur zunehmenden antiferromagnetischen Charakter aufweist.
