Secondary and tertiary aliphatic amines react with Ni(II) halides forming coordination compounds with Ni:amine = 1:4, 1:3 and 1:2. The 1:3 complexes have probably a binuclear octahedral structure, whereas the 1:2 compound are both of tetrahedral or planarquadratic configuration.On dissolving the complexes in benzene structural changes occur.

Sekundäre und tertiäre aliphatische Amine bilden mit Nickelhalogeniden Koordinationsverbindungen im Verhältnis 1:4, 1:3 und 1:2. Dabei kommt den 1:3-Komplexen wahrscheinlich eine oktaedrische Zweikernstruktur zu, während die 1:2-Komplexe in Abhängigkeit vom Amin sowohl tetraedrisch als auch planar-quadratisch gebaut sein können. Die Auflösung der Komplexe in Benzol ist in den meisten Fällen mit einer Strukturänderung verknüpft. Die Ursachen dafür werden diskutiert.
