Description / Table of Contents: Nickel(II) halides react with gaseous primary aliphatic amines forming coordination compounds with Ni:N = 1:6. Their thermal decomposition yields complexes with 4, 3, 2, and 1.5 amine molecules per central atom which, according to magnetic and spectrophoto-metric measurements, has in all of these compounds the coordination number of 6. Therefore, the 1:2 and 1:1.5 complexes are discussed to have highpolymeric structures.
