Free Radical Additions, IX1) - Free Radical Addition of Bromomalononitrile to AllenesOn irradiation, bromomalononitrile (1) reacts with allene (2a) and the alkyl-substituted allenes 2b-h to yield the 1:1 addition compounds 5-8 (70-95%). The degree of dicyanomethyl radical attack on the sp-C atom raises with the number of alkyl substituents. Regiospecific addition is observed with allene (2a), 3-methyl-1,2-butadiene (2d), and 1,2-cyclononadiene (2f).

Brommalononitril (1) lieferte mit Allen (2a) und den Alkylallenen 2b-h unter Belichtung die 1:1-Additionsprodukte 5-8 (70-95%). Mit steigendem Substitutionsgrad wächst der Anteil des Angriffs des Dicyanmethyl-Radikals auf das sp-C-Atom. An Allen (2a), 3-Methyl-1,2-butadien (2d) und 1,2-Cyclononadien (2f) findet regiospezifische Addition statt.
