Description / Table of Contents: Note on the Synthesis of Dicyclohept[de,kl]anthracene SystemsThe preparation of 6,7,13,14-tetrahydrodicyclohept[ede,kl]anthracene-4(5 H),11(12 H)-dione (3) from 9,10-anthracenedipropanol (1) via 9,10-anthracenedibutyric acid (2) is described. 3 can be transformed in low yield into the corresponding dimethylene compound 4.

Notes: Die Darstellung von 6,7,13,14-Tetrahydrodicyclohept[de,kl]anthracen-4-5 H),11(12 H)-dion (3) aus 9-10-anthracendipropanol (1) über 9,10-Anthracendibuttersäure (2) wird beschrieben. 3 läß sich mit geringer Ausbeute in die entsprechende Dimethylenverbindung 4 umwandeln.
