Description:
Neurons in the primate dorsal striatum signal the uncertainty of object–reward associations Nature Communications, Published online: 14 September 2016; doi:10.1038/ncomms12735 The dorsal striatum (DS) is a brain region that is thought to aim actions at certain or known rewards. Here, the authors show that an internal-capsule bordering region of the primate DS signals the uncertainty of object-reward associations, suggesting a novel role for the DS in behavior under uncertainty.
