The proposed federal budget for fiscal year (FY) 2015, released by the White House on 4 March, would provide small increases for a number of science agencies, although some, including NASA, would see a dip in funding. Overall, the budget proposes $135.4 billion for federal research and development (R&D) activities, an increase of $1.7 billion (1.2%) over the FY 2014 enacted levels.
