Notes:
A preliminary experiment was carried out to investigate methods of maintaining short and long swards, and to measure the effect of height of sward on the growth of lambs. Differences in sward height did not occur until mid-June: no marked differences in lamb growth, due to sward height, were observed. The effects of stocking rate and worm infection are discussed and conclusions are drawn concerning the design of experiments of this nature.
