A differential equation for axisymmetric radial transient flow to a nonpenetrating well in an infinite leaky aquifer in spherical coordinate system has been formulated. A general solution for nonsteady-state flow was obtained for nonpenetrating wells in leaky artesian aquifers with a general time variable discharge function, as well as for the specific case of exponential decay discharge function. The solution is expressed in terms of standard mathematical functions.
