Notes: It is pointed out that a certain class of classical relativistic action at a distance theories contains a cutoff which eliminates self-interaction of the particles. This cutoff is put in by hand, but one might hope that eventually it may be produced by considerations of space-time in the small. This class of theories is extended from models that closely mimic classical electrodynamics to models that resemble Yang–Mills and gravity.
