Notes:
An exact expression for the atomic form factor for closed shell atoms is derived using an antisymmetric multielectron wave function. It is shown that for large atoms it can be written as an integral over a Bessel function. Using the Hankel transform it gives an expression for the density of electrons which is of Thomas–Fermi form which was found earlier by Pucci and March.
