Summary The Penduline Tit female with the ring Radolfzell BT 30689 was controlled in the Valley of the Upper River Main in Staffelstein (50.06 N/11.00 E) from 20. 4. 1986 to 23. 6. 1986. After successful breeding (5 fledglings) the female turned to north and was controlled breeding again at 27. 7. 1986 in Mennewitz (near Köthen, 51.51 N/12.00 E). The second brood was successful, too, with about 6 fledglings. Up to this time, the greatest distance of migration measured during breeding season was about 40 km. 200 km will probably not be the maximum migration distance during one breeding season.
