Abstract A comparison is made between the band structure of LaAgO3 and LaCuO3, which is the cubic counterpart of the high-T c superconducting oxides. The electron-phonon parameterη is also calculated and is found to be larger for Ag and O in LaAgO3 than for Cu and O in LaCuO3.
