Notes: Abstract Homogeneous PLZT films of the composition (Pb0.91La0.09) (Zr0.65Ti0.35)0.98O3 were prepared via the sol-gel process using lead and lanthanum salts, and zirconium and titanium alkoxides chemically modified with acetylacetone. The hydrated lead acetate was dissolved in an ethanol solvent in the presence of monoethanolamine, the whole preparation procedure was carried out in an ambient atmosphere, without dehydration of the metal salts.
