Notes: Summary We consider the motion of an inviscid, incompressible fluid with surface tensionT, in an infinite channel of finite depth, when a pressure disturbance is imposed on the uniform stream. The explicit solution of the resulting initial value problem is presented. Also, possible steady state flows are discussed. In the cases when they exist, corresponding radiation conditions are found.
