Conclusions The thermal deformation and strength properties of films from starting specimens of high-molecular cellulose diacetate and of its fractions differ significantly. The heterogeneity of the polymer determines to a significant degree the service properties of items made from it. The allowable content of sparsely and highly acetylated fractions in high-molecular cellulose diacetate should not exceed 20–25% by wt. at an approximately identical content of these fractions.
