Conclusions 1. The method described above has made it possible to determine the knock rating of high-octane fuels with greater accuracy. 2. In measuring knock intensity by this method, we can not only obtain a relative evaluation of the knocking level from knock amplifier readings but also quantitative values characterizing detonation combustion of fuel in an engine. The results of processing oscillograms can be used in improving the DP-60 apparatus. 3. The knock intensity determination method can be recommended in research work relating to the knock rating of fuels.
