Résumé 1. Schedorhinotermes derosus (Hill) est un moissonneur occasionnel qui récolte la nuit, à découvert, de l'herbe sèche ou verte. Il attaque aussi le bois sec d'une manière identique aux autresSchedorhinotermes. 2. Les grands et les petits soldats font vibrer leur tête verticalement en produisant un cliquetis d'une fréquence d'environ 40 périodes par seconde. Ceci peut faire partie d'un système d'alerte en corrélation avec la façon inhabituelle de récolter.

Резюме 1. Schedorhinotermes derosus (Hill).—Факультативный жнец и разыскивает корм, в виде сухой и зеленой травы, ночью под открытым небом. С манерой похожей на другихSchedorhinotermes он нападает тоже насухое дерево. 2. Большие и малье слдать вибрируют вертикально головой, производя этим громкий треск близкий к 40 колебаниям в секунду. Это возможно система тревоги, связанная с необым способом разыскивания продовольствия.
