    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Arbeit behandelt die Strömung, die von einem Zylinder erzeugt wird, welcher von einer Mündung in eine ruhende Flüssigkeit eintritt. Die Geschwindigkeit des Zylinders ist proportional zum Abstand der Mündung. Die Lösung ist gültig bei grossem Abstand von der Mündung, wo die Grenzschicht viel dünner als der Zylinder ist.
    Notes: Summary This paper deals with the flow generated by a stretching filament issuing from an orifice into a still fluid. The filament is assumed to have a velocity proportional to the axial distance. The solution is valid at large axial distances when the boundary layer is very much thicker than the cylinder.
