    Description / Table of Contents: Silver(I)-Metaborate, AgBO2AgBO2 has been prepared by solid state reaction of the binary components applying elevated oxygen pressures [p(O2) = 2 kbar]. The crystal structure of AgBO2 (space group Pbcn; a = 844.1(2); b = 868.0(1); c = 1974.1(5) pm) contains a ∞1BO2-Isopolyanion. Boron is coordinated in equal parts tetrahedrally and trigonal-planar by oxygen. At atmospheric pressure AgBO2 decomposes (HT-Guinier technique, DTA) at 530°C to Ag and B2O3.
    Notes: AgBO2 wurde durch Feststoffreaktion der binären Komponenten unter Anwendung von erhöhtem Sauerstoffdruck [p(O2) = 2 kbar] dargestellt. Die Kristallstruktur von AgBO2 (Raumgruppe Pbcn; a = 844,1(2); b = 868,0(1); c = 1974,1(5) pm) zeigt, daß ein ∞1BO2-Isopolyanion vorliegt, in dem Bor zu gleichen Teilen tetraedrisch und trigonal-planar durch Sauerstoff koordiniert ist. AgBO2 zersetzt sich (HT-Guiniertechnik, DTA) unter Normaldruck bei 530°C, wobei sich Ag und B2O3 bildet.
