Gaseous BeCl2/AlCl3 complexesDuring the volatilization of the chlorides of beryllium and aluminium the complex molecules BeAlCl5, Be2AlCl7, BeAl2Cl8, Be2Al2Cl10, and (in a very small concentration) Be3Al2Cl12 have been observed by means of a mass spectrometer. The structure of the compounds is discussed.

Bei der gemeinsamen Verflüchtigung der Chloride des Berylliums und des Aluminiums wurden massenspektroskopisch die komplexen Molekeln BeAlCI5, Be2AlCl7, BeAl2Cl8, Be2AI2Al2Cl10 und in sehr kleiner Konzentration Be3Al2Cl12 nach-gewiesen. Überlegungen zum Aufbau dieser Verbindungen wurden angestellt.
