    Description / Table of Contents: 2-(α-Picolylamino)-3-penten-4-on („PAP + H“) reacts with CuII salts to form planar mononuclear chelates Cu(PAP)X (X = Cl, Br, NO3, NCS), binuclear chelates Cu2(PAP)2(CH3COO)Y (Y = ClO4, J), and the compound Cu(PAP) (acac) with fivecoordinated CuII. Nickel(II) forms the diamagnetic planar complexes Ni(PAP)X (X = Cl, NO3, CH3COO) and the octahedral Ni(PAP)2. Interaction of Ni(acac)2 with α-picolylamine gives Ni(α-picolylamine) (acac)2 and not Ni(PAP)2. The different coordination behaviour of CuII and NiII against PAP is discussed.
    Notes: 2-(α-Picolylamino)-3-penten-4-on („PAP+H“) bildet mit Kupfer(II)-Salzen planare, mononucleare [Cu(PAP)X] (X = Cl, Br, NO3, NCS) und binucleare {[Cu2 · (PAP)2(CH3COO)Y]; Y = ClO4,J} Chelate, sowie die Verbindung Cu(PAP) (Acac) mit der Koordinationszahl 5. Nickel(II) gibt die diamagnetischen, planaren Komplexe Ni(PAP)X (X = Cl, NO3, CH3COO) und das oktaedrische Ni(PAP)2. Die Reaktion von Ni(Acac)2 mit α-Picolylamin führt zu Ni(α-Picolylamin) (Acac)2 und nicht zu Ni(PAP)2. Die Unterschiede m koordinativen Verhalten von Kupfer(II) und Nickel(II) gegenüber PAP werden diskutiert.
