    Description / Table of Contents: An experimental arrangement is described to measure the emf of cells of the type \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ {\rm Cl}_2,\,{\rm C}|{\rm MeCl}|{\rm CaCl}_2 - {\rm MeCl}({\rm x})|{\rm C},\,{\rm Cl}_2 $$\end{document}.From the emf-values the transference numbers of the cations Ca2+ and Me+ relative to the chloride ion in the molten mixtures CaCl2—LiCl, CaCl2—NaCl and CaCl2—KCl result. The necessary values of activities of the compounds for the systems CaCl2—LiCl and CaCl2—NaCl are calculated from cryoscopic analysis of the eutectic phase diagrams.

Aus der Zellen-EMK ergeben sich die Überführungszahlen der Kationen Ca2+ und Me+ in den geschmolzenen Mischungen CaCl2—LiCl, CaCl2—NaCl und CaCl2—KCl in bezug auf das Chloridion. Die notwendigen Aktivitätsdaten werden für die Systeme CaCl2—LiCl und CaCl2—NaCl durch kryoskopische Auswertung der eutektischen Schmelzdiagramme ermittelt.
