The IR spectra of salts of fluorophosphoric acids and their thio-analogues have been measured between 400 and 3100 cm-1. Symmetrical and antisymmetrical frequencies of the PO2 group are reported; they depend from the electronegativities of the other substituents at the phosphorus atom. The spectra of the fluorothiophosphates are due to a thiol salt configuration, (F)(X)P(O)S-, rather than to a thiono salt structure, (F)(X)P(S)O-, or the hybrid form (F)(X)P(O, S)-.

Die Infrarotspektren von Salzen verschiedener Fluorphosphorsäuren und ihrer Thioanalogen wurden im Bereich von 400 bis 3100cm-1 aufgenommen. Es wird über die stretching-Frequenzen der symmetrischen und der antisymmetrischen Schwingungen der PO2- Gruppe berichtet. Diese sind von der Elektronegativität der anderen Substituenten des Phosphoratoms abhängig. Die Spektren der Fluorthiophosphate entsprechen einer Thiolsalz-Konfiguration (F)(X)P(O)S- und lassen eine Thionosalz-Struktur (F)(X)P(S)O- sowie eine Hybridform (F)(X)P(OS)- ausschließen.
