The dehydrogenation of butanol-2 was examined on different crystal faces of a germanium single crystal by means of the static method. There is a large catalytic specifity of the crystal faces. At 390° C the reaction rate on the (100) face is eleven times larger than on the (III) face. The differences in the activation energies are 15 keal/mol. The results are discussed.

An verschiedenen Kristallächen eines Germanium-Einkristalls wurde die Dehydrierung von Butanol-2 nach der statischen Methode untersucht. Die einzelnen Kristallflächen weisen eine große katalytische Spezifität auf. An der (100)-Fläche verläuft die Reaktion bei 390° C elfmal schneller als an der (III)-Fläche. In den Aktivierungsenergien treten Unterschiede von 15 keal/Mol auf. ie Ergebnisse werden diskutiert.
