The reaction product from lead nitrate and hydrogen peroxide formed in the presence of carbonate is no adsorption compound of H2O2, but a real peroxo compound of the composition 7 PbO · 5 CO2 · 2 O. This is concluded from X-ray measurements and the determination of the decrease in weight and content of active oxygen.

Untersuchungen über das von Leko und Rekalitscha durch Reaktion von Bleinitrat und Wasserstoffperoxid in Anwesenheit von Natriumcarbonat erhaltene aktive Produkt. Auf Grund von Röntgendiagrammen, der Untersuchung des Gewichtsverlustes und des Verlustes an aktivem Sauerstoff in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit wird geschlossen, daß das Reaktionsprodukt nicht eine Verbindung mit adsorbiertem H2O2, sondern eine Peroxoverbindung des Bleis der Formel 7 PbO · 5 CO2 · 2 O ist.
