By reaction of thiosulfates with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonate, several thiohydroxyl-amine-S-sulfonates were obtained. They decompose in alkaline solution to ammonia, sulfite, and thiosulfate. Acid hydrolysis leads to hydrogensulfate and probably to the unstable thiohydroxylamine. Hydriodic acid is oxidized, whereby tetrathionate is formed. With salicylaldehyde, a thiooxime-S-sulfonate has been isolated.

Umsetzung von Alkalithiosulfat mit Hydroxylamin-O-sulfonat liefert in guter Ausbeute Thiohydroxylamin-S-sulfonate. Es wurde das Na-, K- und NH4-Salz, sowie ein schwerer lösliches Luteosalz gewonnen. In alkalischer Lösung zersetzen sie sich unter Entstehung von Ammoniak, Sulfit und Thiosulfat. Saure Hydrolyse liefert neben Hydrogensulfat wahrscheinlich das sehr unbeständige Thiohydroxylamin. Aus HJ wird unter Bildung von Tetrathionat Jod in Freiheit gesetzt. Mit Salicylaldehyd wurde ein Thiooxim-S-sulfonat erhalten.
