The RAMAN and IR-spectra of solid and molten CH3O · SeO · OH and C2H5O · SeO · OH are given and discussed. Couplings between the CH-, OH-, and C—O—SeO2-or C2—O—SeO2- sceleton vibrations are allowed to be neglected. Therefore, the vibrations of these three groups are discussed separately.In these compounds strong H-bonds are formed with SeO-double bonds of neighboured molecules. The strength of the H-bonds increases from liquid to solid state. The spectra confirm the results of chemical researches given recently: all compounds crystallizing from alcoholic solutions of SeO2 have the constitution RO · SeO · OH but not R—SeO3H or SeO2 · ROH.

Es werden die RAMAN-Spektren der festen und geschmolzenen methylselenigen Säure und äthylselenigen Säure mitgeteilt und diskutiert. Da Kopplungen zwischen den CH-,OH- und COSeO2- bzw. C2OSeO2-Gerüstfrequenzen vernachlässigt werden können, werden die Schwingungen dieser drei Gruppen getrennt behandelt. Die OH-Bindungen bilden starke H-Brücken zu den SeO-Doppelbindungen benachbarter Molekeln aus. Die Stärke der H-Brückenbildung nimmt beim Übergang flüssig → fest zu. Die hier getroffenen Zuordnungen bestätigen die bereits präparativ gefundene Tatsache, daß aus alkoholischen SeO2-Lösungen keine Alkanselenonsäuren oder SeO2-Alkoholate, sondern alkylselenige Säuren auskristallisieren.
