It is possible to detect PO3S3- and PO2S23- by paper chromatography at normal and lowered temperatures, respectively.New compounds resulting from the decomposition of P4S7 have been identified as thiophosphite, thiohypophosphite, and dithiohypophosphite by analysis, reductive power, and stability considerations.

Von den Thiophosphaten kann man bei normaler bzw. erniedrigter Temperatur PO3S3- und PO2S23- durch Papierchromatographie in saurem Lösungsmittel erfassen. Als Abbauprodukte von P4S7 neu auftretende Substanzen werden nach Analyse, Reduktionsvermögen und Stabilitätsbetrachtungen als Thiophosphit, Thiohypophosphit und Dithiohypophosphit identifiziert.
