„Basic“ and „acid“ compounds in fused arsenic(III) bromide combine in a reaction analogous to neutralization yielding the corresponding „salts“ and solvent molecules. The reaction has been investigated by conductometric and potentiometric measurements and by preparative isolation of the salt-like compounds.In addition to the neutralization reaction, the occurence of amphoteric behavior in fused AsBr3 has been verified.

Die in geschmolzenem Arsen(III)-bromid als Basenanaloge und Säurenanaloge existierenden Verbindungen lassen sich in neutralisationenanalogen Reaktionen zu den entsprechenden „Salzen“ unter Bildung von Solvensmolekeln umsetzen. Diese neutralisationenanalogen Umsetzungen können durch konduktometrische und teilweise auch potentiometrische Titrationen verfolgt werden. Die gebildeten „Salze“ werden präparativ dargestellt.Es wird die Erscheinung der Amphoterie in geschmolzenem Arsen(III)-bromid beschrieben und durch die präparative Darstellung der entsprechenden „Salze“ verifiziert.
