Notes: Das Problem der Cyclopentan-1,3-dione und der isomeren γ-Enol-lactone wird diskutiert. Aus dem durch Bromierung des Di-acetessigesters erhaltenen γ,γ'-Dibromdiacetessigester wird mit NaJ und Na2S2O3 ein Stoff C8H10O4 gewonnen, für den verschiedene Strukturen in Frage kommen. Die Enol-lactonformeln werden widerlegt. Von den zwei noch möglichen Konstitutionen eines Cyclopentan-1,3-dion-2-carbonsäure-äthylesters und eines 5-Methyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydrofuran-4-carbonsäure-äthylesters wird die erstere als sehr wahrscheinlich erachtet.
