Description / Table of Contents:
Synthesis of N-(Hexafluoroisopropylidene)benzenesulfinamides and Their Reactive Behaviour Towards NucleophilesSulfinamides react with hexafluoroacetone or 1,3-dichloro-1,1,3,3-tetrafluoroacetone to yield the N-[2,2,2-trifluoro-1-hydroxy-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethyl]-and N-[2-chloro-1-(chlorodifluoromethyl)-2,2-difluoro-1-hydroxyethyl]sulfinamides 4 and 5, respectively. The compounds 4 can be transformed by bis(trifluoroacetic) anhydride or phosphoryl chloride/pyridine into the N-[2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethylidene]sulfinamides 6. Alcohols, thio alcohols or amines are added to the hetero-1,3-dienes 6 in 1,2-position. - The spectral data of the new compounds are described.
Notes:
